My great grandparents owned the old girls dormitory that sits off in the sharp curve there in Penfield. My great grandma Marie Askew Murray. I wish I knew more about the history I remember visiting her quite frequently as a child . I love that property
My grandparents bought one of the girls dorms and converted it into a home. They lived just down the street from down town Penfield. We used to go visit with them at times. When I was very small there was no inside plumbing. After I was a few years older, I remembered they replaced the linen closet with a bathroom. A few years later the kitchen was upgraded from coal burning stoves to gas. My grandmother always had a good history story to tell. I remember this place with fond memories, even today.
